In order to shape the identity of the new research and office campus, our design offers an ensemble of buildings that pair open, transparent and egalitarian interior spaces with landscaped outdoor spaces that are integral to the concept. The open-air forecourt incorporates the existing buildings into the ensemble both spatially and conceptually.

Structural clarity, a distinctive position within the urban context and a symbiotic relationship between the office modules and the surrounding outdoor spaces are the defining features of the architecture. We have arranged the entire campus, including the exterior spaces, on a continuous square grid. The individual buildings are wrapped around central courtyards in a pattern resembling a Greek meander, giving the offices optimal natural light and a bright, friendly work environment. The courtyards also offer staff easy access to the outdoors and open-air spaces for social interaction, in addition to visually linking the interior with the exterior. This interplay is a visible, tangible expression of the culture of the company, which is committed to the well-being of its employees and visitors. At the same time, we have designed the floorplans to be as flexible as possible and incorporated a partition wall system to facilitate flexible room solutions.

All of the buildings are clad in intricate white steel tube framing to protect them from the sun and the weather, a choice of material that exemplifies the company’s forward-looking, sustainable and high-tech focus as well as its innovative potential.
