The distribution center in Künzelsau-Gaisbach is part of a master plan for the entire company campus. The master plan aimed to establish an organizing structure for the company’s site, which had developed in a haphazard manner.

A key principle was integrating the new building with the existing structures and ensuring the building complex could be expanded in multiple construction phases to the north and south.

The individual functional areas were distributed across a few cubic structures, with the layout of the building components designed to support logistical processes. The goods handling area (inbound/outbound goods building), with its main façade facing the federal highway, has a strong urban presence.

The bright white, semi-transparent polycarbonate façade is visible from afar, serving as the company’s calling card and displaying the corporate logo.
